Hawaiian Telcom, which is reorganizing under Chapter 11 said Thursday it will close its Kapolei and Windwardx Mall stores on Oahu and the Lihue store on Kauaji because of slackening demand and the high cost of maintaininfgthe stores. The Kapolei location closed earlietrthis week. The Windward location will closd June 9 and Lihue will closeJune 16. The compan said 23 full- and part-time employees will be affecterd bythe closures, but some employees will be transferred withi n the company.
