The Lanham-based satellite systems controlmakeer (NASDAQ: ISYS) said it bought the servicesd and product line — called satIrD — from the U.K.-based worldwide defense and security technology companhy to add geolocation capabilitiews to its offerings. Satellite operators use satID to geolocate the source ofsatellitse interferers, jammers, and unauthorized Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The newlu purchased product line and servicexs will become a part ofIntegrall Systems’ space communications group.
“We are excitedr to bring this capability in-house to enhance our space situational awareness product and system offerings forour customers,” said John Higginbotham, chierf executive officer, Integral Systems, in a statement. Technology consultancy and other supporrt services relating to the producf line will be provided to Integrall Systems by QinetiQ inthe U.K. In a different Integral Systems formed an agreemengt to pursue teaming arrangements with Qinetia North America on some current programs and to explores future programs for the defense andintelligence markets.
